Belgrade is the host of PRO TOUR 2006 Serbian Open.
Tournament will be held under International Table Tennis Federationa ITTF and Serbian Table Tennis Association.
The organizer of the event is Organizing Committee of European
Table Tennis Championships BETT07.

Aleksandar Karakašević
Aleksandar Karakašević, popular Sale, is the first racket
of Serbian table tennis team. Very early, when he was only
cadet, he presented exceptional talent and technical skills.
As a cadet he succeeded to win four bronze medals on European
Youth Championships in years 1988 and 1989. In 1993, when
wining his bronze medal on World Junior Championship in singles,
it was clear that Karakašević is not only a talent but a player
that will play significant role in world table tennis in coming
years. Very soon, in 1995 he proved these expectations by
winning two titles on Brazil Open. Two years later, after
his success on Mediterranean games, in Manchester World Championship
Karakašević entered in world table tennis elite by winning
against first seeded Olympic champion Liu Guo Liang, starting
his shining chain of medals from big international competitions.
His biggest successes are connected to doubles. With his traditional partner, Lithuanian player Ruta Garkauskaite he won two European titles, first in year 2000, and second, which is in the same time first medal for Serbia on international sport events in year 2005. Same mixed double won additional European silver in year 2002.
In the mean time, playing with Slobodan Grujić, Karakašević achieved a number of great results on Pro tour events, qualifying for final event among 8 best doubles of the season for three times. In year 2003 they won bronze medal on European Championship.
Because of his perfect technical skills, his exceptional talent, this left-handed player is considered as most wanted double partner in word table tennis.
Karakšević is not limited only on doubles. All the time he
is achieving exceptional results in singles, so he is double
US Open champion (2003 and 2006), semifinalist of Slovenian
and German Open and participant of last two Olympic tournaments.
In Athens Karakašević played one of the best matches in latest
years against world table tennis legend Jan Ove Waldner.

Trinko Keen
Trinko Keen is the best Dutch player. Together with Deny Heister he brought Dutch table tennis to highest European level. He was born in 1971, left-handed attacker, currently ranked as 35th on World Ranking list.
He participated five times on European Top 12 tournament. His greatest successes are bound to European Championships. In 1998 he won two bronze medals, in men's singles and team events. He repeated same success in 2002, this time in men's doubles.
He won Dutch national championship many times, and qualified to final Olympic tournament three times.
Trinko Keen is one of favorites for winning 2006 Serbian Open.

Nicoletta Stefanova
Nicoletta Stefanova, Italian racket number one, is considered as one of most perspective European young players. Although young, she already collected a number of trophies. With her team mates on European Championship in 2003 she won gold medal in team event. At the same competition she won bronze medal in singles event. On European Championship 2005 she had to satisfy with bronze medal in women's team event.
Once again, she proved her high quality winning the Champions League with her club Sterilgarda.
On Serbian Open Nicoletta Stefanova is one of European players expected to successfully oppose excellent Japanese players.
