Rules
The championships will be conducted in accordance with the current Laws of Table Tennis, the Regulations for International Competitions and the Regulations for the European Championships.
System of play
Team events: There will be a Championship Division with 16 teams in Premier Division, 12 teams in Challenge Division and all other teams in Standard Division. Both will be played with progressive knock out.
Individual event will be played on a knock out basis, with matches determined by the best of 7 games, except double events up to the quarter final, which will be played best of 5 games.
1st round proper will be with 128 places in singles and mixed doubled events, and 64 places in men's and women's doubles events.
Qualification will be played with knock out system.
Qualification for the 2008 European Championships
For the Championships Division in 2008
- the teams finishing at positions 1-14 of the 2007 EC Premier Division
- the teams finishing at positions 17 + 18 of the 2007 EC Challenge Division
For the Challenge Division 2008
- the teams finishing at positions 15 + 16 of the 2007 EC Premier Division
- the teams finishing at positions 3-12 of the 2007 EC Challenge Division
- the teams finishing at positions 29-32 of the 2007 EC Standard Division
For the Standard Division
- all remaining other teams
