ETTU, the European Table Tennis Union,
is the only authority recognised by ITTF, the International
Table Tennis Federation, for governing and developing
the table tennis sport in Europe.

According to the latest information, more than 4 million people are playing competition table tennis in the territory controlled by ETTU. With its 55 Member Associations, ETTU is the largest ot the 6 Continental Table Tennis Federations recognised by ITTF.
ETTU has regularly organised the following competitions:
the European Senior Championships (EC)
(every odd year in March, with team, single and double events)
the European Youth Championships (EYC)
(yearly in July, for Junior and Cadet players, with team, single and double events)
the European Veterans Championships (EVC)
(every odd years in May-June, with single and double events in 8 different age categories: 40-49, 50-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84 and over 85)
the Europe Top-12 Tournament (T12)
(yearly in February, for the highest ranked European players)
the Europe Junior Top-12 Tournament (JT12)
(yearly in January, for the best European Junior players)
the European Champions League (ECL)
(per season, for the highest ranked European Men and Women club teams)
the ETTU (Nancy-Evans) Cup (ENEC)
- the Intercup (IC)
(per season, for the best European Men and Women club teams not entitled to participate in the ECL)
